The Cultivation Technician will assist the cultivation management team with all tasks associated with the daily maintenance and production of cannabis. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and the ability to interact positively and effectively in a team environment.

This role is crucial in ensuring that our plants are happy, healthy and yield strong results. The Cultivation Technician is responsible for cannabis care in all stages of growth, not limited to, but including germination, propagation, vegetative states, and flowering. The Technician journals, monitors and tracks all observations in the company’s tracking system in compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing cannabis company!

Duties & Responsibilities:

● Basic plant maintenance: defoliation, topping, pruning, trellising, and cutting

● Propagation, vegetation, and flowering stages of production

● Clone, transplant, water, fertilize, inspect for pathogens, and identify toxicities and deficiencies

● Cleaning and sanitation of production areas and all equipment associated with production

● Setup and breakdown of production areas

● Comprehend and follow all warning labels and instructions in facility SOPs

● Learn and use applicable trade tools such as computer software and basic garden implements

● Comprehend basic water quality parameters such and pH and ppm

● Follow established proprietary nutrient program

● Maintain safety standards in a warehouse setting

Skills & Qualifications:

● High school diploma or equivalent

● Must be 21 years of age or older

● Ability to pass a comprehensive background check as mandated by the Cannabis Control Board

● Entry level experience as greenhouse technician is a plus

● Working knowledge of cannabis industry

● Working knowledge of general plant physiology and biology is a plus

● Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills

● Experience with inventory control methods

● Excellent mathematics and reasoning skills

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

● General tool, hardware, ladder and building skills

● Self-motivated

● Ability to multitask

Physical Demands:

● Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms and use peripheral vision; ability to adjust and focus

● Frequently required to walk, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

● Occasionally requires climbing or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch for extended periods of time

● Occasionally work in wet or humid conditions, in high places, exposed to fumes or airborne particles

● Available to work weekends if requested
